THE TRADITION OF THE PILAR
According to the Venerable and Age Old Tradition, The
Virgen Mary, awaiting in Jerusalem just before her Glorious
Ascension to The Heavens, came to Zaragoza to console
and cheer up The Apostle Santiago. Santiago, with The
First Converted Faithfuls, was preaching on the banks
of the Ebro .This was the night of the 2 of January
of the 40th Year of The Cristian Era.
There are Three Curious Detailes that Characterize
this Tradition:
- It was a coming in Person of The Virgen not a Vision.
- Another characteristic of This Tradition is The Column
or Pilar that The Virgen Mary brought for The First
Mariano Temple to be built upon. This was The First
in All Cristianity.
- The third aspect is The Union between The Pilar Tradition
and The Jacobean Tradition. For this reason Zaragoza
and Compostela, The Pilar and Santiago constitute a
Fundamental Axis around which The Spirituality of The
Spanish Homeland has moved.
